Dr Dave Barker

Dr Dave Barker is a highly experienced consultant psychiatrist with extensive expertise across nearly all core fields of adult psychiatry. Including general adult, forensic, addiction, older adult, rehabilitation and neuropsychiatry. Dr Barker obtained his medical degree from the University of Southampton and has the prestigious distinction of being a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He has master’s degrees in anthropology and philosophy and is a PhD in philosophy researcher at the University of Bristol. He has published in major international journals and he is an award winning medical leader, Dr Barker is a court expert witness, and he is trained in the assessment of autism spectrum disorders. He is the South West Training Co-Director within the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Director of Medical Education for a major national independent sector provider. He is a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators and a Member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
